Is it possible to go to WDW with a 4 or 5 day ticket and see the shows, ride the rides and see the parades without having to get FP+ or anything else.

My opinion? No, unless you're willing to wait in 60+ minute lines (Toy Story, Soarin'), and even with FP+ you won't be able to see and do everything in 4-5 days.

Of course it's possible, but not recommended. Stand by lines can be fairly long, especially during the busy season. But, if standing in line doesn't bother you, go for it. Good luck! :goodvibes

All of the above are correct. You can go for four or five days and accomplish a lot without FP's, especially the shows. Of course, a lot depends on when you go. If its a busy period, you'll get a lot less done.

I guess my question would be why not take advantage of the FP's? Even if you're someone that doesn't decide which park they're going to until the day before or that morning, you can still set up FP's for many attractions. Maybe not the real big ones (like TSM, Soarin'), but there should still be some available. Worst case, set them up and just not use them if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yes, we used to do it all the time, even with the old fp system, and before that, with no fp system. You have to be willing to do rope drops, and take advantage of EMH's (if you are on property). Also, you aren't promised that a restaurant you want to eat at won't be full, but if you are willing to wing it, and take 2nd or 3rd choices, then sure.

You will not be able to do everything at WDW on 4 or 5 days. Do some research and pick the things that really interest you and plan to do those things. You certainly don't have to have FP+ but it can make some things easier. You will have to wait in some stand by lines, maybe for an hour more, but if that doesn't bother you, you can have a great time. Have realistic expectations and there won't be any disappointment. There is great information here on these boards. Use it. Good luck and have a great trip.

You can but why would you? Why would you pay that much money to spend about half your time standing in line?

That depends. Do you mean all of the rides, shows and parades? If so, then no.

I also think it depends on what "everything" means. Is it everything in the parks or everything you like to do? I can see everything I want to see in 4 days.
