Ok so we are getting Married in August on the Disney Wonder. Now we already sent out invites to everyone and anyone (we invited over 200 people) We sent these out back in December so everyone had more then enough time to book. I'm thinking since we sent them out so early that we should go ahead and send out a letter to everyone we invited just reminding people that we are getting married on the cruise and if they didn't get us there reservation numbers to please do so, as well as telling everyone where we registered and we have moved since we sent out the original invitations so it will also give everyone our new addresses. My FMIL is also throwing us a party when we come back from our wedding/honeymoon. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the letter should say??? Should we even send it?? Should we include our registry info??

Perhaps sending a letter out to give everyone updated contact info would be nice. And any other last minute info. you feel your guests may leave. I don't know about registry info. I know etiquette says not to but, I've received invitations that had where the couple was registered and I was not offended. Of course the knot has that great registry search function. Of course if you are very busy skip the letter so you have one less thing to stress about. :)

I think a letter just stating you've moved is alright. You can have everyone email you their reservation info maybe?

I'm getting married on the Wonder April 30th of 2009 so I would LOVE to hear how it goes! We have about 50 people booked right now but I know who's booked since I linked everyone's reservations. They can't escape the bride and groom! :rolleyes1

Well as of now we have 20 people total including us......and their reservations are linked but I just want to make sure that no one booked and didn't give us the reservation numbers. I will be sure to keep you up to date on our plans as of now everything is done...Just got to send out the letter!!

I think it is totally fine and smart to send out a letter to your invited guests when you are having a destination wedding. Many brides here send out "news letters" in really fun formats that keep their guests informed of all that is going on with their wedding. You can include all kinds of information, like fun facts about a Disney cruise, different things they can do while on and off the boat... the schedule of events surrounding the wedding so they know where to be and when. Maybe even include your itinerary for your daily activities, so that if any of your guests want to join you, they know where you'll be (but only if you want guests to join you! lol, if you want to have alone time with your new hubby, then dont do this! lol). Then you can work in the "reminder" that when they book, they should make sure to send you their ressie number so you can keep an up-to date list of all guests attending. Include your change of address and where you are registered. I think it will be fine!
