Okay I've looked through the boards and I thought that this would be the best place to put this, so please be nice if it's not. :) Anyways, well from June 11-18, my mom, me ,15, and my friend who is 14 are supposed to stay at WDW. Well, about a month ago, she bailed on me and I've asked other people to go but we haven't found anyone to go.
Now, we want to cancel her share of the whole deal (airfare, tickets, etc.) but we have gotten traveler's insurance with Disney world. I vaguely remember the person we spoke to when we were buying all this over the phone saying something how if an emergency pops up and you can't go for some reason, then they will be happy to take off the person's share as long as you've got the insurance.
I'm not sure how exactly I'm supposed to get rid of her airfare and such using the travel insurance. Can you guys please help? Thanks a million

call the Disney Resservation Line, i'm sure they can walk you through it. Good Luck! :goodvibes

Call Disney, but you also need to read your policy. If I'm not mistaken, the travel insurance you buy through Disney specifically does NOT cover people choosing to not go. It covers trip cancelation and interruption due to NON-VOLUNTARY circumstances such as illness, severe weather, etc.

Sorry to tell you, but you can't recover any lost money through trip insurance due to the fact that your friend changed her mind. Someone changing their mind is not the type of "emergency" that travel insurance covers.
