Question with the $99 pass

I spoke with someone who purchased these tickets last year. He said that you had to use your ticket everyday in order to keep the 7 consecutive days. So if I went on Thursday and then decided not to go again until Saturday, then the ticket is not valid. I have to go everyday in order for the ticket to work for 7 days. Is this correct?

No, that isn't correct.

You do have seven days to use it once you go the first time. So, if you went on Thursday it would be valid until the following Thursday. You can go or not go any days in between that you want.

Did that make sense?lol :thumbsup2

No. It expires 7 days after your first use. You can go as many times as you want in those 7 days, whether they are in a row or not.

Yes It makes perfect sense. I thought that might be wrong. Thanks. I am going to buy mine next week. :cool1:

I also have a question on the $99 passes.......Can I purchase these now, but, not use them until late 2010? I haven't found anything that says that can't be done, but, I want to make sure. We're going to be in central Florida Jan 2010, but, weren't planning to do Universal again until everything at Wizarding World of HP is operational......probably our Fall 2010 trip........

Yes, you may purchase them now for activation in the future. There are no activation expiry dates on the tickets.

btw, there was an earlier thread on $89.95 7-day pass gift cards at Kroger. Today I looked in the gift card section of my local Kroger and there they were. We have annual passes so we don't need them but as far as I know that's the best price you can get for those passes ATM.

Do you know if Kroger has another affiliate store? I know we used to have Kroger here but now we have Kuhns, Giant Eagle and I think that is it for the bigger ones. I would love to try and find those gift cards.:thumbsup2

the passes/tickets are valid forever as long as you don't activate them.

i still have day tickets that i haven't used yet from 2002.......

since i have the ap i don't need to buy the promo 7 day passes but i did last week.

figure i might someday take a friend with me and they can use the pass.
and.......i can never turn down a good sale.

i'll probably lose that pass by forgetting where i put it by the time i do need it.

Go here: http://www.kroger.com/Pages/default.aspx#

click on Find Stores to find the store nearest you. Call and ask if they have them, save yourself a trip. If that doesn't do it find one near a friend or relative and have them buy a few for you.

I had the same question so I wrote to US and asked them. All the recent reply's are correct. You can buy them now and they won't expire until the first day you use them. Once you activate it, it's good for 7 days.

This was US's exact reply to me:

Thank you for contacting the Universal Online Ticket Store. The 2 park unlimited passes are not date specific and do not have an expiration. You could take advantage of the offer now and save the tickets for future use.

I just bought 3 of the Kroger gift cards for relatives who are coming over in 2010. I don't see how the price could go any lower, especially with new rides opening in 2010.

I don't think a better deal will come along. At the time I wrote to them, they were advertising the tickets for $94.99. That was before summer. During summer they went up $5. Now with the addition of the WWoHP, I thought I had read somewhere that ticket prices may go up after November. Not quite sure though. Once I find it, I'll let you know. Since we're going next year, our plan is to try and buy ours ASAP.
