I expect there will be a lot of Crockett/Meadow porch answers to this question...lol

So the question is, where do you like to sit and relax while visiting the Fort?

P.S. Personally, my favorite is probably the seating area at the marina on a cool morning.

I like to sit on the vibrating barrel........ and watch all the high rollers gather at the HDDR......they crack me up...:lmao:

Good thread colso39...:thumbsup2

Sipping my coffee anywhere at the Ft.

I love going down to the beach and enjoying a drink. I think that was my favorite thing about staying at the fort the last time. I plan to be doing the same in Oct.

My favorite place to sit would be in my golf cart while my dh rides me around, I love checking out everyones site and gear and pets, love, love love it.

My favorite sound is getting up in the morning and eating breakfast at the picnic table and hearing the boats or train whatever that is, that was so much fun made me feel like I was on a great vacation...hehe :cloud9:

Yea, I've never heard of anyony sitting on a vibrating barrel....now, there is a foot massager that you sit on a barrel with...lol.

Maybe there is a secret way of making the barrel vibrate ;)

I don't really have a favorite place, yet. I think you have to go more than once in order to have a "favorite". ;) Some of the places I liked best last time were:

1- Sitting by the pool at 11:00 at night watching my kids have fun splashing around in the pool all by themselves. It was so relaxing and peaceful. :)

2- Sitting under my awning at our site ALL BY MYSELF while Chad and the kids were off bike riding. :cool1:

3- Probably my favorite spot was the night we let the kids stay at the campfire and watch a movie with my 13 yr old in charge. Chad and I took the golf cart over to the marina and snuggled up on the beach and watched the fireworks. :lovestruc

Rocking in a hammock while watching the electric water parade while sipping Chamomile from my refillable mug. A little known fact....TE keeps Chamomile in their tea stock behind the counter, just ask for it. :thumbsup2

I agree- DH & I love that thing, but the last 2 times it wasn't working & CM had to fiddle with the plug & refund our money.

If I tell my favorite, secluded area, it will no longer be secluded!!

My lips are sealed!!

(pssst... now listen very carefully.... there is a path by the group area that runs aside a canal. If there is no one occupying the group camping area, I love to sit all by myself in my cart next to the canal, sipping on coffee!)

Might be this from the Muppet Movie

The bus pulls in to the ghost town. Kermit gets off to check things out; Floyd follows with Animal, who needs some exercise. As Kermit approaches an old storefront, "suddenly the rain barrel bursts to life. It is covered in multi-colored lights. It revolves, and it plays "Lady of Spain" like a music box." Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker appear at the door, and Bunsen explains to the perplexed frog that "it's one of my latest inventions -- a musical, light-up rain barrel." Kermit asks, "Why would anyone want such a thing?" "Such an odd question," Bunsen replies.

Why does it not surprise me that you would have a Muppet movie reference? lol ;)

Uhmm guys, I think you're missing the joke :P

The BARREL doesn't vibrate, the foot stand vibrates, that's what everyone is getting at ;)

Well, I sure as heck WOULD HAVE had I known about em!!!
