Question: When will my dining plan be activated exactly?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have read the fine print of the dining plan and I cannot for the life of me figure out one little detail.

So... I booked my hotel/ticket package with the free dining plan. I am checking into my hotel on Sept 24, checking out on Oct 4= 10 nights. I purchased a 9 day park pass, and I will be staying in the hotel for 11 calendar days.

My question is, will the dining plan go into effect when I check in, meaning I can start redeeming dining credits on Sept 24, or does it not go in to effect until Sept 25, and will be good to be used until midnight of Oct 3? Or will it be Oct 4?

So basically, are the dining credits contingent on nights booked in hotel, or on the number of ticket days purchased?

It goes by how many NIGHTS you have booked, and they are ready to use when you check in. We usually get there around noon, and sometimes our room isn't ready yet, but we are still able to go tho the foodcourt and get our mugs and use our dining for lunch.

You have 10 "days worth of credits, so I am not sure if you have the regular dining or quick service, but basically 10 counter services, 10 tables services, and 10 snacks per person on the regular dining, and you can use them untill they are gone untill midnight on your check-out day.

Regular DDP recipients also get the refillable mug starting in 2012. It's a new feature.

Btw, another little question since it was just brought up: is the refillable mug for only sodas, or can you get tea and coffee?

Technically, you can only refill them at the resort where you purchased/picked-up your mug.

To the OP, it's already been answered, but just to be clear: your credits are active from the moment you check in on Sept 24 and are good until 11:59:59 pm on Oct 4. You can use the credits in any combination/amount you like (in other words, you don't have to use one TS, one CS, and one snack per day, you could use 2 TS one day and 0 another).
