Question - using Disney Gift Cards...

Hi all,

I have a Disney Gift Card that I have a question about. I am going to Disney World in September. Is it possible to use the gift card to pay for the hotel or tickets? We are not going for 5 nights so are not doing the free dining (plus I have a give a day ticket that I will be using toward a 4 day ticket).

Also - what places INSIDE Disney World accept the Disney Gift Cards? Will I be able to buy food and such? (I don't care about the little kiosks with popcorn, etc...but I am wondering about restaurants).

I've had disney gift cards and I found I'm able to use them pretty much anywhere in Disney World. I bought food at a counter service place, sou verniers, and I know you can use it to pay for tickets and/or rooms if you buy them through disney.

I bought gift cards for my grandson at the Disney Store at our local mall. I asked where it can be used at Disney and I was told any store or kiosk that takes credit card/debit card will take the Disney gift cards.

Also any place that will take the gift card will also take your KTTW card from where you check into hotel. I just charge everything on that and then use a gift card on my account either when I get there or go down night before checkout and change from whatever credit card I am using to the gift card to pay. That way you only have to keep up with your hotel card and not both that card and gift card. Also i have payed my deposit and balance through Disney on the phone when I make my reservations with gift cards. Poor cast member had to input 10 cards one time and then balance on my credit card.....LOL.

I had gift cards when I went in November. I preferred charging everything to my room, then I applied the gift cards at checkout.
