Has anyone received a pin AFTER they booked their trip? We got a pin before Christmas and did not think we would be going this year and threw it away. We do randomly get them thoughout the year, but can only go in the summer as DH is a teacher. When I called to book I did ask if there were any offers with our name and she said no.
Since we already booked, i was wondering if they would still send one. Any amount of money off would be fantastic! Thanks! :goodvibes

I have never received a pin once my package was booked. I've also never received more than one pin code either but I have read that some folks have gotten lucky.

I "booked" or reserved a trip for October of 2012, back in August of 2011. I only put down the $200 hold money, since we weren't sure if we were going or not. I received a PIN offer for 30% off in an email yesterday.

Hope that helps.

I got a pin after I had booked a trip once in 2009. Problem was, when I called to try to redeem it, the pin didn't include the All-Star Family Suites and they couldn't find two Value rooms available for me to book since availability was so limited. The sale we had already used for the Suites was cheaper than using the pin for two moderates.

I did last year. We booked in February and got a free dining PIN in April. However, the PIN came to my wife on her email and we were booked on my email.

Great question OP. I was wondering the same thing. I got a pin for 30% off through June, which is the GP offer through the 14th. I want FD, and think I will hold out, unless I hear that I might still get another pin. Last year we did not receive a pin after we booked and we got FD. popcorn::

Yep, we've been booked and paid off since late summer and I have gotten a couple pins, including the free dining (which we already have) last week!

We booked our April trip early in December. We booked three rooms with 14 of us going ( 7 adults, 7 children). At the time we booked we got I think around 20% off room only at Port Orleans Riverside. We booked 7 nights, with 6 day passes and DDP. On Friday I got a sprinkling of pixie dust- I got an email with a pin number, YAY!!!
It was for free QSDP. We were all sooooo excited. We rebooked and saved a lot of money. We had to upgrade to the DDP because we have six, yes that's right, six character dinners already booked.

I have received 30% pin but couldn't use it because we were off on our travel dates by 2 weeks. then I received another one via snail mail after we booked w a $200 deposit. good luck:thumbsup2

My planning went like this: I received a pin for a wrong set of dates and after I learned here that sometimes those dates can cover additional dates if you call and ask, I DID and it DID!

We booked BC for 6 nights, June 8-14th with Hopper & DxDP...with a 20% off pin..

THEN..they came out with the 30% public discount that runs thru Jue 14th...so I called to see if I could apply it to our trip, and YES!! I could and I did..

and then I kept hearing here on the DIS how folks were getting FD pins and I decided to call last Sunday and see if I had one..and guess what??

I DID!!! So, I had the most helpful CM change my reservation to include FD instead of 30% off! This FD offer included "regular" dining so we upgraded to Deluxe..

Now, a few kooky things that applied to my family which may not work for other families..my boys are now "adults" at 12 & 10, and both REFUSE to eat off the kids menus and REFUSE to eat chicken nuggets - their theory is why eat chicken when I could have steak, salmon, shirmp or crab!! :lmao: and deluxe dining works well for us - with the food offerings, and the fact that my DH wants a sit down meal at each meal even if its simply to get out of the hot June sun!

I did have to "upgrade" my room at BC from a garden view to a water view (I think)...the CM said that the only garden view rooms available under FD were Club Level and we didnt need that too!

BUT...I checked pricing last year for traveling this June and it was just over $6,300...:scared1:

and now, Im just over $4,900!! :cool1::woohoo::cool1::woohoo::cool1:

that's with taxes & insurance...

so in a nutshell...YES! you can get pins after you book! and in fact, I'd keep calling WDW to see if you have a pin attached to your name. I received a postcard pin last year, but the last 2 times I've just had pins attached to my name when I called to check!

GOOD LUCK!!

:dance3:

YES! I booked in Oct and Just received a 30% off PIN today. We were even able to apply it to our Poly reservation(generally not included in promotions). Sending pixie dust your way :)
