Question to the budget Board....

I think and do believe Walt Disney himself would have wanted it to be this way. Spencer

Just to clarify, Disneyland was discounting to employees of most California businesses via the free Magic Kingdom Club when Walt was living. Walt had no problem granting discounts.

We live in a small town that is trying its best to become a tourist destination, and our household motto is "If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?" They don't know where they're going, they slam on their brakes when they see something that interests them, they walk out in traffic, they clog up the restaurants. That's us being cranky, but seriously, can you imagine what it must be like to put up with that year round in Florida when you have places to go and things to do?

I know what you are talking about. We had our first "FIP" sighting last week and my blood pressure instantly went shooting up.:headache:

I grew up in FL, still live in FL and have FL resident APs. I remember growing up in the 80s that there were specific FL Resident Days that we would get a great deal - and our family would ONLY go on those days. It didn't make financial sense for our family to go on more expensive days.
I think WDW paid attention to this and realized that if they gave the discounts all year long, we FL folks would GO all year long.

And they're right!:thumbsup2

I can tell you as a FL resident if it wasn't for the discounts on rooms and tickets our family would not go. I know many of my neighbors who have lived here their whole lives who hate Disney and have never/will never go as they think it's a huge waste of money. I love Disney but honestly it's getting a bit too expensive even with the resident perks.

True, but my point is there is no PA resident discount for any of those parks.
You need to check the Parks and Rec Dept. of your hometown because all of those parks offer discount tickets to towns to sell to their residents. I've always bought my Hershey Park, Morey's Pier, Sesame Place and Dorney Park passes that way.

Walt just called. He said "meh" and then went out to play nine holes.
