Hello everyone,
I have been checking this scrapbooking site out for a few months now ( that how long i've been scrapping):woohoo: , & am just begining to realise how big scrapbooking has now become.
I had always done lots of cross stitch in the pass until the scrapping bug got hold:lmao: & will possible do some more in the winter month as well as scrapbooking.
I have been wondering have many others here stopped doing other because scrapbooking has taken over. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'd sort of come to a halt generally, even before scrapping. I'm still trying to finish the last hedgehog cross-stitch for my sister's 4 kids (when I started she only had 2 :lmao: ) - I even took it on vacation but only did a little. I must try to get it finished soon as I want to get them all framed for Christmas gifts :scared1:

I knit but haven't given it up because of scrapping. I'll knit while I watch tv, and with the tv season premieres coming out, I'll be watching more tv soon. I also knit when we take long day trips. Can't scrapbook in the car.

i did a lot of rubber stamping which is what lead me to scrapping. i have not done anything with my stamps in forever. i have tons of them too! i even still buy them every now and then.

I used to make jewelry, but stopped that about a year or so ago....only because my eyes got really bad; hard to see things up close with contacts. I just recently started scrapping, so much fun - and way less expensive (SO FAR!) then jewelry!!!:goodvibes

I was making jewelry too but have put that on hold. My main reason (excuse) is that I would have to clean up all my scrapbook stuff from my table and I have everything the way I want it for scrapping. Maybe I'm just lazy :rolleyes1 I have some ideas for necklaces but I just hate clearing off my space so I haven't gone back to the jewelry yet. I used to do counted cross stitch years ago but I'm not sure my eyes would like it now.

I had had to give up sewing and crocheting because I couldn't see to thread needles, and I couldn't hold the needles and small hooks for very long, it hurt my hands. So I was really at lose ends for a couple years before I started scrapping. SO glad it came along!

I alternate. I'll get on a reading kick and I'll read several books in a few weeks, then cross stitch takes over. When my hands get to tired to stitch, I'll scrap, etc.. I really have to be in the mood to do it or I don't like the results or make mistakes.

I did sort of "give up" cross stitch when I started scrapping. But I should get a project going.... it is a lot easier to cross stitch at DD's swim practice and swim meets than it is to scrap!.......................P

I used to spin yarn, knit, and crochet a lot. Don't really do that since scrapbooking. I still do sew and other various crafts (expecially with the kids). Anyone need any homespun yarn?? :rotfl: I think I have enough to sweater all of us scrappers on the dis LOL ;) :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I used to have * private romantic time* with my DH but now I scrapbook from the time I get the kids into bed until I fall asleep standing up!!! :lovestruc

I used to knit too, but now i have carpal tunnel syndrome I can't hold the needles for long, it hurts:sad2: It was great to do watchin TV - cross-stitch can take too much concentration, and DH can just about tolerate the end of the dining table covered with scrapping (he hates it once the tide starts creeping towards him;) ) covering the living room would not go down well:rotfl2:

Thankyou all for the replys and it looks like once you get the scrap bug it does mostly take over everything. :rotfl:
