Question regarding using the minibars in the rooms !!

I am still undecided as to whether i should take my Barclays debit card away with me when i go to DLP.

If i don't is it still possible to have access to the minibar in the room??? could i leave a small deposit at reception and pay in cash when i check out. Or do you have to have a credit or debit card to be able to do this.

Hi, just returned from DLRP. Stayed in the Disneyland Hotel amd certainly there you have to leave a card imprint to access minibar.
Beware, things are extotionately priced and it is all computerized so if you remove anything even to look at it, it is registered as being used and you will be charged. My DS was sick and i stored some cartons of milk in the mini bar and accidently moves a small tub of pringles. These appeared on my bill at 4.50 euros!!!! I explained the situation at reception and got it sorted out but just be careful.

I mainly want to be able to use it to store things in. I am so glad you told me about it all being computerised. I will make sure nothing is moved or touched.!!!!

Staying at the Santa Fe? Might be worth your while visiting the Esso Station outside. They do Pringles and I have an idea they might be a tad cheaper.
