Question regarding upcoming universal trip

Please don’t flame me if this has been asked before, I didn’t find the answer I was looking for. I haven’t been to Florida in years, not sure how the park work post covid so please bear with me.

We are planning a trip to Disney in January 2023 and want to do 1 day at Island Adventure. That park specifically for the Xmas shop! Lol
Do I need to reserve park ahead of time like Disney?
Anything else I should know?
