Question regarding tickets

On our last trip, we purchased non-expiring 10 day passes that now have 5 park and 5 water park days left on them. For our next trip, we definitely want to do the dining package again, so we plan on buying 1 day passes to make the deal a "package".

My question is...how long do we have to use those one day passes that we purchase w/ the package. Are they good "forever" or do you have to use them during that stay?

And one more random question...has anyone used an adult ticket for a child's admission? Is that OK to do?

Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2

For the new tickets you now have 14 days to use them then they expire or pay extra for them to be non expiring. May not be worth the extra cost to add it to a one day pass.  party: party: party:

I asked that very question when I booked the dining plan for our Christmas trip. (We already have tickets also.) The CM said it was good forever.

Hmmm, so those are kinda conflicting reports. :confused3 I understand the 14 day expiration since you can opt to get the non-exp added on, but since thats not even an option on the 1 day pass, it sort of makes sense that its good "forever".

OK so one vote for "14 days" and one vote for "forever"! :) Anyone else want to chime in?

Since its 14 days from "first use" the expiration clause dosen't apply to the one day ticket because there is only one use.

Ohhhh that makes sense! :thumbsup2 So its good "forever".

Thanks!

That makes sense, sorry I was thinking of what the ticket agent told us. We are going for a longer time.
Have a wonderful time   party: party: party:

Yep, Disney never minds if they get MORE of your money (the adult ticket is worth more) it's the other way that isn't possible.

As stated earlier, the 14-day expiration time refers to 14 days from first use of the ticket, not 14 days from purchase. Think about it -- if you book a package, you have to be paid-in-full 45 days before your trip. Imagine if those expensive tickets then expired 31 days before your trip!!!

So a 1-day ticket is good forever. It never expires.

Well, you'd think that's the case, but that's NOT the case with the Disney Dining Plan.

In doing my November trip planning (when there's no free dining), I was considering whether or not the DDP would save us any money. Because of our plans and because of the way we eat, the DDP would only have mande financial sense for us if we could have used two meals' worth of TABLE SERVICE credits at COUNTER SERVICE places. No, that's not a typo. I e-mailed Disney to find out if we'd be permitted to use a few more valuable table service credits at less expensive counter service outlets.

The official response I got from "Ronda" at "WDW Online Communications" was, and I quote: "The offerings on the Disney Dining Plan are redeemed as listed and cannot be renegotiated at time of fulfillment (Ex. Quick Service Meals cannot be exchanged for a Table Service Meal or vice versa)." Strange but true. Even if I BUY the Disney Dining Plan, I can't use more expensive credits to pay for less expensive food. Weird, huh?
