question regarding sales tax (m)

Hi all,

I am new at this and considering renting points. Do I have to pay sales tax on the points I rent from an individual? or pay the tax to the resort during my stay?

There are no taxes or additional fees for reseravtions made using DVC points. You will pay only the amount agreed upon with the member for the rental.

This is one of the best things about renting points. Not having to pay that 11.5% or 12.5% tax is great. I wonder when the politicians in Florida will figure out a way around it?

About the same time they figure out how to collect income tax from the people who rent their points!
