Question regarding renting or transferring banked points

I am new to DVC. We have just closed on a BCV resale contract.

I have 39 points that are banked and I am unable to use them for our trip home next year.

I have offered them for rent/transfer.

I have now found out that I cannot transfer them as they are banked.

Will I be able to sell them. Can I ring Disney to advise me

You're right that banked (or borrowed) points may not be transferred. You can rent your banked points (as long as the renter takes a vacation in your following UY that you banked the points into).

Actually, you can't "rent" the points either. You'll need to make a reservation with those points and rent the reservation.

If you have enough points AND you are not in the last four months of your UY, you could use them to make a non-DVC reservation, maybe something closer to your home. You'd have to pay the $95 fee though.
