Question regarding Disney Dollars?

Hello. I have never done this before so I figured someone here might know.

Can you purchase disney dollars at the Disney Store?

Also - what restaurants or places down in Disney can you really use them?

Just bought some about 1/2 hr ago at my disney store - also running a great sale there too You may want to call your store 1st before going as they do run out at times. You can also call disney and order them via mail.
You can use them at any DISNEY operated location - I don't think you can use them at Rain Forest Cafe as that is not owned by Disney. But accepted at all souvenir shops at disney, disneystore, and for food at Disney owned and operated locations for TS or CS or even snacks.

Would you know of where I can find a list of restaurants that the Disney Dollars would include..?

I guess the restaurants at Epcot wouldn't be included, right?

What about character meals, I would assume yes but I know not to assume!

All of WDW is included in using disney dollars - I could not find a list of things not included but know that some of the signature restaurants are not owned by Disney so they are not included. IE: Wolfgang Pucks, Rainforest Cafe - but not many that are there. The last I checked all Magic Kingdom, All Epcot restaurant, All Animal Kingdom except RFC, and all water parks included will accept DD. The only questionable places would be Boardwalk or DTD to call and ask which restaurants would not be incl. Also all character meals are included too.

That is great news about the disney dollars... My hubby I know would want to eat at Le Cellier in Epcot... and of course the character meals for the kids!

Do the stores at Downtown Disney accept Disney Dollars (World of Disney; Once Upon a Toy and the Lego Store, specifically)? Thanks

skiingwife, I've used DD's at World of Disney and Legoland. Not sure abou tthe other one.

I guess it is safe to say that I can use Disney Dollars at Crystal Palace or Cape May Cafe... (stuff like that)...

I wish there was a list somewhere.... I was even doing a search in general on the internet and not coming up with much....

We might be short on cash to take our trip and that is why I was thinking about the disney dollars....

P.S.... that is good to know about LegoLand and some other stores.

Tanya, DD's are accepted everywhere IN the theme parks and resorts.

From the small vendor cart to the fanciest resort hotel...they want your DDs!

Thanks for the info. I guess I will be off to buy some disney dollars this weekend and start saving...! I feel alittle better now knowing this...
