My family has sailed DCL three times, on the Wonder in 2004 & 2006. Then in 2012, we sailed on the new ship, and my family as well as my parents felt the food was not good at all. We were very disappointed.
The wonder ship had a great food .
Was wondering if anyone could share how the food is now comparing the 2 ships. It's greatly appreciated!!

We have sailed on both the Wonder and the Fantasy andfelt that the food was comparable on both ships. We really couldn't seea difference.

We thought the food was good on the Dream we actually liked cabanas better then the food in the MDR'S but honestly any food i don't have to cook or clean up after is heavenly:cheer2:

Food is so subjective....some love it, some don't, some think it tastes bland, some think it is too fancy, etc.

We have found no real big difference in food quality from ship to ship overall but on our Fantasy and Dream cruises last year and this year the food was very good.

I've only sailed the newer ships, but I thought the food in the MDRs was mediocre. Palo was a different story. I wish I could eat there every night!!! I'm not sure if I'm fancy enough for Remy's, but I promised DH we would try it next cruise.

Personally, I've enjoyed all the food in the MDR's. I agree that Palo is better (although, isn't that the point? :confused3), and I've not tried Remy.

I'm not a foodie per se, though, so I'm not picky when it comes to "quality". I'm just as happy eating from a food truck as a 5 star restaurant. :thumbsup2

Same here, if i have not had to cook it, it will always be good :thumbsup2

I loved all the food on the ship. We didn't go on expecting the worlds best food. It's "free" and all you can eat that's all we need.

We thought the food was good when we cruised. There were meals in the MDR that I would eat again and some I will never order again. It truly depends on your tastes. I do love Palo!! I keep saying I will try something other than the sea bass, but always get it.

We sailed the Magic, then the Dream back to back and then the Magic again. For us, the food in the MDR on the Magic was better prepared on the Magic (both times).

For the quick service stuff, I found them about the same (though I missed the tacos while on the Dream - I mean, unlimited jalapenos!).

For the buffet and room service, I found the Dream to be better than the Magic - Cabanas was head and shoulders above the Magic buffet (Topsiders?) and room service on the Dream was a little better (a little hotter, a little better put together in it's presentation, but not something that would stop me from ordering room service on the classic ships).
