We have an 8am breakfast reservation at CRT during our trip in mid June. When we are finished with breakfast, do we exit out the front of the castle or out the back into Fantasyland? I'm guessing it would be out the back if the castle show is happening. Anybody know?

The entrance/exit for CRT is in the back of the castle, just beyond the rope that gets put up to block the castle walkway. You exit this way regardless of whether there is a show happening or not. If there's not a show, you can quickly turn left out of the CRT exit and take the walkway to the front of the castle. Otherwise it's a right turn toward the carousel and your Magic Kingdom adventure continues in any direction from there.

That's what I was hoping! Hopefully breakfast will be over before 9, so we can be in Fantasyland ahead of the rope drop crowd.

So if your going to breakfast and your reservation is at 9 am how would you get to the entrance

Our reservation is at 8am, but park doesn't open until 9am that day. They let you in early if you have a dining reservation.

Are you asking how to get to the CRT entrance if the castle is closed off for the opening show? If so, then you can go around the castle to the back using the paths to the left and right of the castle. Heading towards the castle, when you get to the hub, you can take the path towards Liberty Square. There is a path that leads to the back of the castle next to Sleepy Hollow. Or you can go to the right when you get to the hub, take the path back towards the teacups. Just before Fairytale Garden where Merida meets, there is a path that also leads behind the castle.

Seems like when we do the princess or character meals, the standard is to allow 1 hr to 1 hr and 20 mins if you want to meet/spend time with all the characters. I know for CRT we were there a little over an hour - so, I'm not sure we benefited from a PPO reservation in terms of rope dropping any ride. We did much better getting the PPO BOG reservation to get a head start on Mine Train and Peter Plan before rope drop. For Akershus in Epcot, we were one of the first seated at 8 a.m. and did get finished at 8:45 a.m. in time to ride Frozen Ever After with no wait.

Well, I was hoping we could get out of there in under an hour. It's not super important for us to meet/ spend a lot of time with every princess. We just think it would be a lot of fun to have breakfast inside the castle. With that in mind, is it possible to do CRT in under an hour?

Most likely. It probably depends how fast you get seated. At CRT, we had to wait a couple of minutes to get seated (everyone gets their picture taken with Cinderella on the way in). It may be good to get to the park 7:15 a.m.-ish (if it is a 9 a.m. park opening day) so you are one of first in PPO dining reservation line, then when you get to CRT tell your server as soon as you sit down that you are hoping to get out early (and it's ok if you miss a princess or two) - that way they can bring the check early (while we were able to meet all the princesses at Akershus, we did take care of check/tip early so we didn't have to wait at the end). You'll love eating inside the castle - it is fantastic! :)

Well, prepayment was required when I made the ADR. So, waiting for the check shouldn't be an issue.

But, unfortunately, things I've been reading on other threads are making me think there's a strong chance they'll end up changing rope drop to 8am that day anyway. If that happens, I may just cancel. That would be a bummer, but oh well...

Ooo - I had completely forgotten about the prepayment for CRT (and tip being included)... I can't remember if you still have to sign the bill or not. We did CRT trip before last and Akershus this year's trip. I also can't remember when they brought us our picture with Cinderella (though, I don't remember having to wait on it). Changing opening to 8 a.m. is definitely a risk - I hear you on watching to cancel... we've had good luck on our trips with them keeping park opening at 9 a.m. Good luck!!!

Dis did that to us our last trip for a cp reservation last year back when the rope was at the train and not at the castle. Wife's bday and she was not happy. We were fortunate enough to snag an unreal lucky duck pre park bog reservation.

Well, I see that BOG opens at 7:30 on days with 8am rope drop. But, I think it would be pretty hard to get in and out in less than 30 min to beat the rope drop crowd.
