I will be once again hosting the calendar exchange. I am thinking of hosting it either in Oct. or Nov.-before the holiday rush. But, wanted to know when calendars became avaliable in stores in your area if you are planning on particpating.

I personally have already seen calendars here at my stores, and I like to purchase my calendars early so that I can start jotting down information for next year, and is able to see upcoming dates, and holidays.

Should I move up the calendar exchange date to Sept/Oct.?

Who would be interested in participating?

I have seen them at Michaels and Costco.............haven't really noticed anywhere else.
I have already gotten about 10 in the mail from various charities.

I think bookstores may carry them early as well. Sadly we do not have any of the big name book stores here anymore...they closed :(.

I get one or two from charities, or other organizations, but they come in so late that I already have calendars of my own by then. Guess the places that send to me are not early preppers like the ones sending to you.

I've been getting them for months.
My last 4-5 exchange boxes have included some of them. There are so many I can use.

Barnes & Noble has a few now. Not the selection they'll have by Oct., but a few are available.

Thank you Missy for that info.

Participants can also order from calendars.com and have it sent directly to their pal. I order from them every year, and their service is fast.

I work in a Hallmark store and our calendars has been up for several weeks now.

I would be in so much trouble when the Christmas ornaments came out, like my whole pay check would probably be spent. :lmao:

LOL.....I don't work there, but still spent over $100 on premier weekend and need to go back for the monthly one (the sleigh) and a couple more in Oct. We got a bigger tree here, but it is still full.

I ordered from calendars.com last year, and they were fast. Prices were pretty good too.

That's my biggest problem with working at the store over the holidays. I always purchase lots of Disney ornaments each year and lots of holiday decorations. I try to control myself but it's hard when everything is so cute and I love decorating for Christmas. It does help getting my discount for being an employee, that I feel I can purchase more items because of it.
