Question re: Universal Express (onsite stay)

i suggest if you are interested in buying the express plus passes for one day, wait until you are in the park to determine if they are really needed.

if you end up standing in long lines, then it would be worth it.

if you could do most of one park in the regular lines or by using the single rider lines, you might think of buying the epp for the other park since it would be later in the day when you could switch parks.

if it rains or if weather is bad, you don't see crowds in the parks.

epp are date and park related.
they are non refundable passes.

Mama Della's is as great as you've heard.

And as the pp's have said, you might have to wait 10 mins or so in the express lines. It just depends. Def still have a game plan for Flying Journey (no express) but the line itself is an attraction so don't be afraid of posted wait times.

and has as already been stated...it's going to be hard to leave UN for Disney after having the express pass lol. :goodvibes

We will be heading to Disney in January 2013 and want to spend a day or two at Universal. Are the crowd levels at Universal comparable to Disney's at that time of year? Should we consider staying onsite at Universal for the Express Pass benefits? Or will that be unnecessary? Thanks! We are so new to this.

January isn't considered a busy time so you should be fine w/o staying onsite.

You should be fine.BE aware that there are lots and lots and lots of South American tour groups though. And though there weren't really any waits, I was grateful for the resort express pass anyway.Allowed me to avoid the hordes going into the standby line

i read on another thread the the first week in january has crowds due to school out til the 7th.

We started our trip last week with two days at universal (stayed on site). Express pass was so awesome! Even when spiderman was 2 hours, we walked on. Have fun!
