Question re: transferred points

I am on 2 different memberships because the contracts are titled with different people. The use year is the same for both memberships. If I transfer some points from one membership to the other, is there anyway to book online at 8am when the booking window opens for 7 months, or do I have to call member services? Can I transfer some points before hand and have member services reallocate the transferred points to other existing reservations we have and then use the other non transferred points for the 8am booking? Thanks.
 
The only time you can book online with transferred points is if they are for the same resort and UY as one of the contracts in the membership into which you are transferring the points. In that case, MS can put the transferred points right into your contract because the points are identical. Your point balance will increase by the number of transferred points and you can use them to book online at 8am

In all other cases (same resort different UY or different resort same UY or different resort different UY) the points cannot be put into any of your contracts in that membership so the points are tracked some other way and are not visible or available to you when booking online.

MS could reallocate the transferred points into an existing reservation if you booked that reservation in the 7-month window or the transferred points are for the same resort you booked or the same resort and room type is available to be booked with any points right now. They cannot reallocate if you used the 11-month priority and are asking to substitute non-home resort points for a room that is not available to be booked right now with non-home points.

Yay! Thank you, LisaS for taking the time to explain this to me. I do have a small contract for the same use year and same resort as the points that are being transferred, so that will be great to be able to just transfer them to that contract have them in the account and ready to use when the booking window opens at 8am. instead of taking a chance on availability and waiting until 9am to call. I appreciate your help and information!
