So. I bought a Groupon for eyelash extensions. The original price was $300 and the Groupon was for $89. I've had extensions before (Novalash) and I was happy with this deal.

At the time I purchased the Groupon, it was for a woman who had a space in a day spa. So, I planned to tip her on the pre-Groupon price -- 20% of $300, or $60. Fine.

A couple of days before the appointment she texted me that she was no longer at the day spa; that she was doing all lashes from her home. Okay, fine.

I went to the appointment (this was a few days ago) and she has a very nice spa-like room set up in her home, with a reclining table (whatever you call it? Like you lie down on) and nice equipment, music, fresh paint job, etc. Clearly she has put a lot of work into the room and into her own business. Great.

So, my question: how much would you have tipped? If at all? I want to know whether I did the right thing. I feel like you don't tip an "owner" but I didn't to be rude.

Follow-up question: fills are $60 (roughly once a month.) In the future, what would you tip on a fill? If anything?

Thanks! I liked the woman, we had a good rapport, she did a great job, and she's close to home, so I'd like to keep using her.
