I've been lurking for a while.

I have a reservation (from a DVC member) for the Grand Californian Villas in April 2011 and just have a question re: parking at Grand Californian - for the villas, not the hotel.

1. Does the reservation cost include parking a vehicle overnight?
2. If so, does it possibly include parking two vehicles overnight?
3. If not, how much is the cost to self-park? I believe for GCH resort guests it is $15/night for self-park, up to two cars, or $22/night for valet, up to one car. Is that correct? Or is the cost for the entire reservation?

Thanks!

I have heard that there is no charge for self-parking if you are staying on points. Maybe if you have a two-bedroom, you might be allowed two cars? We are going in June, but only with one car.

There is definitely a daily charge for Valet parking.

Self-parking is definitely included if you're staying on points (notice I don't say 'free' - its paid for by maintenance fees, and parking lot is one of the listed items). My confirmation e-mail for my upcoming stay in the fall says 2 cars per DVC reservation (not sure if that's restricted to 2 bedrooms or not since that's what we usually get). However, we have parked 3 cars there last year for the weekend since we had 2 couples from NorCal driving in at different times, and one from the Santa Barbara area (didn't know the rule- and at the time self parking was free for all guests and they just charged a 'resort fee' to non-DVC that included parking). There were no parking passes given last October, just said you can get in & out of parking lot with your room key. Might be different now that they are charging non-DVC guests for parking I'm guessing they're going to start issuing parking passes.
