Question re HM Refurb

We are WDW vets (I read the very informative thread on point). At WDW, it is fairly common that rides will open up a day or so before the end of a scheduled refurb. We are heading to DL January 17-20, and HM is down for removal of the Christmas decore from 1/8 - 1/20. Do you DL vets know if they ever finish and open up a day early?

Anything is certainly possible! I wouldn't plan on it, but it's worth looking as you walk past since your dates are right at the end. Since HM's holiday overlay removal is something they are used to doing, their estimate of how long it takes is more accurate than many other ride refurbs that aren't as regular, but it's still possible it could open up a little earlier. Cross your fingers, but prepare yourself just in case you don't get to catch it.

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't plan on it opening early. Just from reading what people say on the boards it seems like DL is usually on schedule or even a tiny bit late on refurbs. But like SonnyJane said, it's something they are used to doing so they shouldn't be late. Good luck!
