I'm looking at having von's deliver groceries to us at our hotel. We will likely arrive late on Monday, then go to the park Tuesday morning. We'd like to eat breakfast in our room. I'd rather not lug a cooler and bring food with us. If I order groceries from von's can I specify a time such as early morning? Or would it be better just to bring the cooler and shop before we leave?

We always hit a store when we get into Anaheim. Since we always drive, we have a cooler the essentials and go from there. When we stay at RI Maingate, they shop for us.

The way Vons works is that you pick your delivery window from what their available options are - either a 2-hour window or a 4-hour window - and you pick the date you want them to deliver. They generally don't deliver anything too early in the morning. I forget what their earliest delivery window is, but it starts at like 10:00 a.m., possibly 9:00 a.m. on some days. They have delivery windows like 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., etc.

I am not sure if I understand correctly - you want them to deliver on Tuesday because you will be arriving too late on Monday to receive a delivery?

The drive to Anaheim will be 10 hours nonstop from our home. We have 5 kids and a 7 month old baby. We have a tendency to not leave on time, which in this situation is worsened by having Sunday the day before leaving. (Due to religious observances we will not be packing on Sunday.) I just don't see us arriving in Anaheim at a time when anyone wants to go shopping. I have thought that one of those stops along the way could be at a grocery store. I can feed and change diapers while dh goes shopping and sends the bigger kiddies to the bathroom. We'd need to bring the cooler, though and maybe that's a good idea if we have leftover cold food anyway or if we can't stand fast food on the way home. (Eat picnic lunch instead.)
