Question re Fireworks

Just a quicky!
Are people allowed to sit in front of the Main Street Station on that platform? Or even in on the benches in front of the steps? Looks like a pretty good view from that area, with seating, although kinda far.

I think yes....but I'm not 100% sure, I'll try to find out for you this weekend but I really think I remember people sitting up there.

Check out my fireworks shot in the POTD thread today. It was taken exactly where you are talking about and I was standing directly behind the benches. However, the benches were roped off for VIP seating. I'm not sure if that is done every night but it was this particular night about a month ago. The view here does give you a broad view of the higher fireworks but I personally like being in the hub. I guess I need more castle effect!

I guess I'll have to schedule turn-taking to reserve a good spot at the hub. Can anyone direct me to a curb just behind a rope? I can't picture where the rope was last time we were at the hub for fireworks (2 years ago).

Check out SpartanGirl's Trip report. She & her hubby were VIP in those seats. She also has pics & it's a great report to read anyways.

cr*p...maybe it was for the parade. Anyway....it do remember she sat in those seats next to the star of "Earl".

Actually those benches are for those with Priority seating (VIP tour or through travel packages) they will make you move if you don't have a priority seating reservation.
You can stand on the sides but you can't stand in the stairways.

There were people there when we were there, it appears they are VIP's but there were people standing behind the benches too.
