Question re. fastpass

Can anyone please answer this question for me? We will be going to Disney soon. My DH wants to get fastpasses for color of wonder. Only he will be entering the park that day and will bring my and my daughter's annual pass to get us all tickets. Since we won't be with him our cards won't be swiped at the entrance. Will he be able to get us the fastpasses?

Can you get a fastpass without using your card to enter the park?

If you haven't entered either park, no, the cards won't work for a FP.

If you and your DD entered Disneyland and are over there while hubby goes to DCA, then yes they will work.

Yup! They just have to be activated at one of the parks, so if he goes to DCA to get World of Color FP's for you two while you're at Disneyland that's fine, but they won't work if you two haven't gone into either park that morning.

We were in a similar situation this summer, and were able to get FPs with my son's AP, even though he didn't come with us on that day. It didn't matter that his pass hadn't been swiped at the entrance, we were still able to obtain FPs with it. Granted, the FPs were not for World of Color, so I don't know if that would be any different, but it worked for regular FP attractions.

We were in a similar situation this summer, and were able to get FPs with my son's AP, even though he didn't come with us on that day. It didn't matter that his pass hadn't been swiped at the entrance, we were still able to obtain FPs with it. Granted, the FPs were not for World of Color, so I don't know if that would be any different, but it worked for regular FP attractions.

I think that was a fortunate circumstance.

NO he cannot get you and your DD FP's unless your APs have been used for entry. You must go to the park with him to get FP's.

This happened to us once after we got our new AP's. I still had the old AP's in my bag for some reason and I got them mixed up when I pulled them out to get FP's (I wasn't using a lanyard pouch because mine had broken), we were able to use our old APs to get FPs but they did fix the glitch.
