Question re: DVC Gold pass and existing ticket

Hi, quick question. I am thinking about buying the Gold annual pass with the DVC discount. I already have my theme park ticket for my September visit, but it is a highly discounted ticket (50% gate prices).

I was planning on using my purchased tickets and buying the AP after I arrive. Can I put the purchase price of this ticket towards the purchase of the annual pass?

Since that ticket is highly discounted, it might not be upgradeable. The only way to know would be to stop at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location at WDW and ask.

Agree that there actually are some tickets that you can't upgrade. You should be able to find out whether it qualifies to be upgraded or not.
