Question re:direct flight from Ottawa

Hi Canadian Dis'ers! I haven't been on these boards for many years and I see that they are still as helpful as ever! I was hoping someone could answer a question for me:

We are flying directly from Ottawa to Orlando, landing at 2:35. Will we clear customs in Ottawa or Orlando? If we use ME, how long do you think it will take to get to Pop Century? HS is open till 8 that night and thinking of maybe catching a few hrs there if possible. We have 7 full days so I was planning on getting the 7-day park hoppers and upgrading to 8 days if we get to wdw in time our 1st day.

Hi--I believe you should be going through customs in Ottawa, provided you are flying from Ottawa to a U.S. airport. I am not sure if you still go through customs in Ottawa if you first fly to another Canadian airport, and then to Orlando. Not all Canadian airports provide a US customs service.
There seems to be something wrong with the signature line in your post--suggest you check it.

If you're non-stop Ottawa>Orlando, you will definately go through US customs in Ottawa...are you on the WestJet flight?

That's actually the big advantage of flying nonstop...you save time because you don't need to allow for an extra-long connection in Toronto to go through customs.

Yes it is the Westjet flight, we've never flown directly to Orlando before, always transferred in Detroit. Thanks for the info!
I have tried to fix my signature, sorry about that, still working on it!
