Question re: Converting Tickets to a Package

A family friend purchased park tickets only through the Disney website for a November trip and was planning staying offsite. The friend now wants to stay onsite to take advantage of free dining. Any idea if the tickets are (1) refundable or (2)if not refundable can the purchase price be applied towards the package with free dining?

They don't need to be refunded, they can just put the tickets into their PA k age as far as I know.....

They need to call Disney and speak with a cast member about this. They should be able to use these tickets to book a package but be aware that free dining has limited availability. There might not be any free dining rooms left depending on where they want to stay. Free dining has been incredibly popular this year and there are numerous reports of resorts not having availability. Good luck!!!

The tickets are non-refundable and, unfortunately, cannot be put toward the package. In order to take advantage of FD, she would have to buy tickets along with her room. Since she already has the tickets, her best bet is probably to take advantage of a room-only discount if it's available. If she wants dining, she can actually add it to a room-only discount without adding tickets. Sometimes a room-only discount is actually a better deal than FD anyway.

You can get a dining plan on a ticketless package if you call - but you have to buy the dining plan, you can't get it free. In order to get free dining you must purchase tickets in conjunction with the room. Previously purchased tickets won't work. But they'd have to stay onsite to get a dining plan at all.

FYI, the friend called and was able to convert their tickets into the free dining package staying at All Star resort. Don't know the exact details of how it worked out
