My family is visiting WDW with another family and I was considering getting one AP so I can get the hotel discount. Since there is currently no room only discount available for my dates, the AP rate is clearly the next best option. The AP room discount with a 5 day hooper from AAA saves me a lot of money over the WDW package with MYW tickets.

My question is can I book a room for the other family using my AP or do they have to get their own AP? They are not related to me in any way. They are willing to share in the cost of my AP to get the hotel savings if we can do it that way.

You can book another room using your AP. We just did the same thing in December. However, after you check in, they will split the bill but everything (charges) will still be in your name. :D
