I own two contracts: 1 @ BCV; 1 @ SSR:

I am now booking at the 11 month window at BCV for august 2015. If I want to add to the reservation at the 7th month window, can I add additional days using my SSR points to the end of the reservation?

I am hoping to add day by day as the tail end of the booking window opens, that is, when the next day falls into the 7 month, 7 night reservation window. Effectively walking the end date within an existing reservation, although not ever changing the start date.

Any insight is appreciated.

Yes, based on availability, you can add days to your existing Home Resort reservation 7 months from arrival using non-Home points. You aren't really "walking" a reservation, just adding days to what you already have by extending the stay from a 7 night stay to a stay of 8 nights or more.

If you want to do that online, each additional reservation made will be a new reservation and once you have the complete reservation, you will need to call MS to link the reservations together to minimize any chance you would need to change villas.

If you add days at 7 months by calling MS, they will automatically link everything together.

This will all be subject to the same view/villa type being available at BCV once you get to 7 months. For an August reservation you should have a good chance for that to happen but it is possible that not all days will be available at 7 months which might necessitate using the waitlist.

Good luck! :)

I would add the dates to the front of the reservation, those dates will hit the 7 month mark first. If you add them to the end, you have to wait until 7 months from the dates you are adding.

MS will consider that to require a new reservation and you will have to wait until the 7 month mark hits for the additional nights. That is because you booked the first nights within the home resort priority and you would then be more or less jumping the line if they added on with non-home resort points. That's how it's worked for myself and others.

What you might see is if your original dates are available to be re-booked with the SSR points and then you could get the additional nights with the BCV points if they are available too.
