Question re: 90 day window...

Sorry if this is a silly question... can you make the ADR call 90 days before your ARRIVAL date, or 90 days before your 1st Dining reservation? Meaning, we check in on August 29, but I wasn't going to have my first sit down until the 30th.

It's 90 days prior to your arrival/check-in date. It doesn't matter if you schedule anything on your arrival day or not as long as you're staying on WDW property.

Believe it or not - that may not be true depending on the CM you get! There have been reports in the last few days here in this forum that the CMs would not let people book on their 90 day window if they weren't making a reservation for their arrival day - and told them they had to call back the next day, for example, if their first ADR was for the day after arrival day!! :confused:

Stupid - yes. Ridiculous - yes. If this happens when you call, call back and see if the next CM tells you differently.

(and just keep saying to yourself through your gritted teeth - :mad: - "I love Disney, I love Disney, I love Disney ...")

Thanks for the heads up - hadn't seen that reported before. With the mis-informed cm's, long hold times & systems crashing every other hour, it seems like with each passing day the whole adr system just gets more & more ridiculous :sad2:

If that happens, I wouldn't bother calling back. Just make a "dummy" ADR for your arrival date, make everything else you want, and then later, cancel the unwanted ADR!

Ding! Ding! Ding!...this is exactly what I was thinking. If the CM insisted I needed an ADR then I'd make one at any place that was available and then move on. It's too easy to cancel that ADR later to get held up calling back or arguing about it.

I called today and I am not making a reservation for my arrival day, but the CM was fine with that - so it can be done! I guess it just depends on which CM you get!
 
Yep - I'd definately make a fake ADR if the CM was giving me a hard time - then at the end of all my ADR's - I'd cancel it with the CM that made me make it in order to book - LOL!
