Okay, unfortunately, due to a recent illness, my 79 year old mother (who has looked forward to our Alaskan cruise all year) finds herself much weaker than she'd like and I will now be bringing a wheelchair to aid her for those long treks in Canada before boarding and even while on the ship and excursions.
The good news is I checked my excursions that I had booked (which were all mild) and they are wheelchair accessible (especially with a collapsible wheelchair which is what we will be bringing).
My question is - does anyone who has used a wheelchair in the past (obviously we are not in a handicap accessible room nor do I think we need it since she can walk short distances without issues) have any tips/suggestions?
thanks all
