For those of you who have been at this longer than myself I would like to know!!
We have 250 points which we might not use for Disney next year.
The World Passport weekly rates look attractive. I know Disney resorts are the best for the money but the hundreds of locations that offer a week for the 250 point range, are they 3 or 4 star resorts. How does one check out their quality and value?
It seems as if the Concierge Collection are some of the most famous accomodations but take more points. My wife would like to do something different next summer but I want to be sure we are getting quality. Dennis

II can be a great value if you use it correctly. 250 points should do nicely for an exchange.See this thread where I explain about the exchange process.

The best way to check out potential resort exchanges is on TUG (Timeshare Users Group) which has ratings and reviews. Some may also be listed on places like tripadvisor and with Apple Vacations as well as another timeshare publication, Timesharing today. The reality is that the 5* issue is not like it is with hotels. Do not confuse it as a quality vs not designation. And there is no further rating system with II that they will tell you.

OTOH, DVC will help you some but you MUST do your own investigation. Ask here and those of us familiar will do what wee can.

Thanks for the advice. I joined TUG and now will begin to learn the art of swapping. Thanks Dennis
