Question on when to register for DAS?

I am seeing conflicting info on this. When can I register for the DAS program? Can I register at 60 days out and then pick the rides at 30 days out? We will be arriving at the parks on March 9th. Can I register now for the program and then pick the DAS rides at 30 days out?

No, there is no 60-day window for DAS. You can do the video chat to register for DAS no earlier than 30 days out from your first park day (which may be different from your resort check-in date). AND it's possible you may not be able to make Advanced Reservations until your whole trip (or first 7 days) are within that 30-day window.

Perhaps they are confusing the "60 days" for the length DAS is valid? It's an easy mistake to make when skimming info online

That is what I am doing. Why would it be good for 60 days if you can't register until 30 days out? Confusing.

Used to be it was good for length of stay (based on your tickets). Now it's good for 60 days primarily so those with an AP don't constantly have to re-register.

Since the video registration began, it’s always been the same - guests can register for DAS and also make DAS Advance Selections within the window of 30 days and 2 days before the first park visit.
There has been conflicting information has when people didn’t actually check and assumed it was from the check in date or assumed it worked like dining.

Yes.
Some people, especially with Annual Passes might be making more than one trip within the 60 days that it’s valid
