This may be a silly question! But I wonder if any of you can answer some questions re the lockers at WDW.

In the Brits Guide it states that the lockers are $7 (and $2 is refundable). Are these the same kind of lockers like the ones at Alton Towers/Thorpe Park/Chessington here, in which you have to make a mad dash to get a locker as soon as the park opens? There are never enough lockers for everyone that wants one!!!

The lockers in our theme parks are £1 (not refundable) so once you've opened it to get something out, you need to put in another £1 to store more stuff!!

And size-wise - all the WDW tips say "take this, take that & store them in the lockers". Our lockers over here hold just about a picnic bag/ruck sack (if you're lucky).

Can anyone explain how they work?? And does the $7 cost need to be in coins to feed into the lockers!!

From what I can remember about the lockers they work like this:-

You pay the fee at the start of the day and the cast member hands over a key. The locker can be opened as many times as you want during the day. When finished you hand the key back in and a refund is given of a % of the original amount paid.

It is quite a few years since I used a locker so this info could now be wrong.

We hired a locker a few times last August in MK and at various times of day. There were always lockers available.
