Question on tipping for mousekeeping

This may be a stupid question, but here goes. When my husband and I go to WDW we always tip for "mousekeeping" at the end of our stay. It didnt even dawn on us that there may be different people servicing the room throughout the week.

What is proper tipping practice, to tip every morning or at the end or your stay?

We tip every morning. We tip at least a dollar a day per person. If the mousekeeper is exceptional we will leave two dollars a day per person. You don't have to tip mousekeeping. Only do it if you want to.

I tip daily to ensure that the housekeeper doing the work that day is tipped. My experience has been that we've had at least 2, sometimes 3 different housekeepers during most vacations (7 - 10 days).

We just bring a bunch of $5 bills and each morning take the little note paper that's there for the phone, tear off a sheet, write "For Housekeeping, Thank you!" on it with the money in the fold, and leave it on one of the tables.

They are careful not to take money just sitting around, as it may not have been meant for them, so by marking it clearly there's no misunderstanding. We did get extra towels, but no animals (two adults at Coronado Springs). One day we did get our hand towels folded a little more fancily!

We tipped $1.00 per person in our room each morning. We set the money under the card with the Mousekeepers name on it. At least they know its designated for them and not laying around, and whoever is working our room that day will receive their tip.

We usually leave drinks out for them, and at the end of our stay we leave money, but I never really thought about that. Hmm I wonder how many mousekeeping you have in a week.
