question on splitting the bill

So, DH & I have a dinner out at Citricos planned. Kids will be at a 1 credit restaurant w/grandparents. So, I'm wondering if, we could have for DH & my meal, 2 credits used for his meal, and pay out of pocket for my meal? Are you allowed to split it up this way? If not, we'll just have to pay OOP for us a different time, and charge the kids meals to DDP credits. Thanks!

Yes you can do this.

You can split a bill at any of the TS restaurants. Just be sure to tell your server which item(s) are going to be paid for and which are going to be covered with a dining credit(s).

so, does this mean that the following would also work...

We're joining my parents for the second week of their vacation - they're on DDP and we won't be.

They want to "bank" some of their credits and take us out for a meal or two (so spending 4 meal credits to cover my parents, myself and my wife (we were planning on picking up the children's meals OOP)

Is this allowed - has anyone "bought" a meal for someone else with their credits?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered - I did do a bit of a trawl through the posts, but this was the closest thread I could find.

Nope, this won't work. You can only purchase the amount of meals that there are people listed on the room card. the DDP is not transferable and cannot be used to purchase meals for others not included on the plan.
