We have a 1BR for our next stay, but I do not see a map that tells where these rooms are located, Is there a map that we can check out to get an idea of where our room may be or where we should request. We stayed there a few weeks ago in a 2BR and it was at the end of the earth - would like a better location this time if possible.

Your best bet is to request a general area ie: high floor, close to elevators.

VWL? The end of the earth??? It's one of the smallest DVC resorts. The corridors are nowhere a long as BWV or AKV-KV. Most of the villas have a view of the woods. A few have a pool view and maybe a very small glimpse of the lake through the trees. If you don't like woods, you probably need to reserve at a different DVC. Which is nice because no one DVC is exactly like the next.

Here's the link to a map:

However, I must say that being at the "end of the earth" has its advantages. We stayed in a dedicated studio last week that was the next to the last room down the hall. We had a peaceful and quiet night every night because there was no one walking or running past our door!
