Last night a good friend shared their experiences about pre-booking excursions for a Disney Magic Western Cruise. His DW pre-booked all of their excursions right at the 60 day mark. When they boarded, they didn't recheck anything because they thought everything was locked on. Unfortunately, none of their excursions were booked and by the time they found out, everything they had wanted to do was already full.

I seem to remember receiving confirmation numbers for our excursions on the Eastern Magic in 10/2001 but it was a few Disney trips ago so maybe I am getting confused with PS at WDW.

When we call, should we expect confirmation numbers or are we just better off reconfirming those ressies once we board?

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Uh....this is one thing that there should not have been a problem with. When you book your excursions, DCL sends you a confirmation (they prefer to fax them as I recall) the same day you book. In addition, one of the thing that is waiting for you when you first get into your room is your dining tickets and all your excursion tickets for the week. Also, if you check your stateroom account, all of your excursions are charged to your room up front, so that is another way that you see that everything is OK. If you don't have your excursion tickets with your meal tickets in your room, then I would check.
