I was looking at the chart for the plane size we will be taking in Jan. and I don't see anywhere that is says if you have to pay extra for lets say an isle seat or window seat. Do they charge for this? If so, where can I look at which seats are more and does Delta charge for certain seat assignments?

Some seats are preferred seats (I don't recall what NWA's name for these is - I think Coach Choice) and they are either available for purchase or available to elite frequent flyer members 24 hours prior to departure. Aside from these rows (not too many IME), you don't pay extra for a window or aisle seat. Are you already booked on a flight? If so, you can look at that configuration and the seat map will note which ones are Coach Choice.

The layout of the plane should show you which seats cost money to reserve. There weren't too many on the flights we have. Most of the seats are no charge. You can't reserve your seats until 90 days from the date of the flight to and 90 days from the date of your return flight. I just went on the computer on the two 90 day marks and reserved our seats with no problem.
