This past Friday I booked a van through Budget using the code X474200 for next June 2012.

I have heard that it takes forever to get your rental car at the counter. I saw something on the website called Fastbreak. - Get your car faster! I signed up for RapidRez and Fastbreak. Do I need to call Budget back and have my RapidRez number attached to my reservation? I heard that can change the price.

When I arrive to the airport can I just go directly to the garage to the Fastbreak counter? Also a bit worried about using the code and it won't be accepted.

Thanks!

I used that code a couple weeks ago and had no problems. I also had it booked using my Fastbreak number. I had no wait at all and the line inside the airport was ridiculous! I already had the FB number before I booked so I am not sure if you want to call and add it or if you want to just make a new reservation while logged into your FB account. If it is the same or better deal you can cancel the original.

I called Budget to have them add the Fastbreak number to my resi. He said he coudln't do that as it would come up more expensive. I asked if I could go to the garage instead of the counter and he said no. Bummer. I hope I don't have to wait forever to get my vehicle.

I second what Shel suggested and just try making a new reservation yourself while this time being signed into Fastbreak (it's a GREAT program!)

Is this code available to general public? Any requirements for it? I checked it and it brought my rental price down about $50 from a previous code!

That code I found here on the message boards. From what I've read it's a public code from Travelocity. I booked a mini van using that code for $360. Without it, it was $920.

I hate to hear this did not work for you,:scared1: I was hoping to try this with a ressie that I have for budget that's pre paid.:surfweb:

Mine was a prepaid ressi too. I thought about cancelling that one and starting over with a new ressi. Enter in my Fastbreak number and my discount code. I would get charged a $10 cancellation processing fee and it will take up to 7 days for the funds to go back on my card. I think I will just leave things as is and wait in line. I can only hope that it will go quicker since I prepaid.
