I have requested a refund from the seller for an item that I purchased on 5/25 and have not yet received (even though it "supposedly has been sent out twice....yeah right). I emailed her and told her I would give her the chance to refund my money before I got Paypal involved tomorrow. She said she would send it through Paypal and asked for my account number. All I gave her was my email address. Isn't that what I am supposed to do??? Is there something else I am supposed to give her? I thought all they needed was my email address.

You are completely correct, the only thing she needs is your email address to send you money through PayPal...except maybe some ethics!

In all seriousness, you should contact PayPal now, they are extremely helpful! I hope you also contact Ebay to report her and leave her negative feedback!!

Good luck!

Please PLEASE think long and hard before contacting PayPal. I would contact ebay first. Contacting PayPal, they can literally sieze and freeze this seller's bank accounts. I know someone who this happened to. I live in fear of someone doing this to me in the event of a shipping problem. In fact, many Ebay sellers no longer use PayPal because of this fear.

Have they sent the item a way that can be shipped? Have you tracked it?

If you are in the UK and used a credit card somewhere in the process, you're in luck. If you're subject to a fraudulent transaction, you can claim your money back from your credit card company who are liable for the money you lost!

Thanks!! Last week I did report her to Ebay and square Trade. That was when she said she would make another and send it out last Thursday(A hand painted Eeyore trash can).

Unfortunately I accidentally left good feedback for her thinking it was for something else several weeks ago. I do plan on adding more feedback though. Some emails I have sent were unanswered and when she did answer it would be with only two or three words. She has never even apologized in any of them for me not getting my item which makes me think she has never even sent the item out. Alot of her feedback has comments about really slow shipping (some people waited months) but her % is actually pretty good. The ones that made comments about the slow shipping put it as positive which puts her % up in a good range.

I did learn that I will READ the comments from now on everyone and not just go by the %.!!!

You can go back into the feedback and update your positive feedback!

In my opinion, if her customer service has been this poor, you are well within your rights to complain to PayPal about her. You have given ample opportunity to fix the problems, but she has chosen NOT to! If her accounts are frozen by PayPal, it seems she deserves it!

Make sure you file your complaint with PayPal before the 30 day deadline. After 30 days, they will not help you.

Is she perhaps looking into an insurance claim with the post office?

I went through this a few months ago with a guy who claimed he didn't get what I sent him a month after I sent it. The insurance claim took over 6 weeks. I did not want to refund him and then have him have the money and the item until the claim was complete and he was very upset about that. I explained to him my reasons and that I was not a business but an individual and he was just going to have to wait.

Eventually , lo and behold he decided to just admit he had recieved the item. He "misplaced" it.

She may have had similiar situations.

I'm sorry, I'm just trying to stress that the Paypal system could literally freeze this persons bank account so that she can't withdraw money for food.

Have you tried calling the seller?

I waited most of the day and was not getting a refund so I did file a complaint with Paypal. On the comments section I gave all the info and I added that through all of this she has shown no concern and has never apologized. Well...within a few hours of me filing the complaint she did refund the money AND added an apology(even though I doubt I would have gotten that without the Paypal complaint). She also has never given me any feedback even though I paid VERY promptly. I sent a confirmation email to her and told her that I expected to see positive feedback from her.To me it seems she knows she has not sent it out and has horrible service and was waiting for MY feedback to her before she adds any for me. I went to Paypal and SquareTrade and withdrew my complaints also.

Oh well...it is finally over with but I sure wish I could have gotten that Eeyore trash can!!
