Question on FW busing

Hey all...three days away!!!!

We are spending one night in a cabin (we have always camped, but this is our "treat" this year), then spending the rest of the time in a family suite at the ASM. It's a room only at FW (doing the Whoop-Dee-Doo Revue Tue night), then a seperate reservation with tickets at ASM.

I have to get on a bus from FW on Wed morning and "check in" at ASM to get our tickets for the day (we'll go back later in the afternoon to actually get our room). Disney is being sweet and transporting our luggage from our cabin to our FS.

So, I want to be able to get on a bus and be back to MK to meet the rest of the family by 9:00. I really can't find much bus scheduling anywhere online that can get me specifically from FW to ASM.

Best bet? Where do I get on a bus and to where that gets me to ASM as quickly as possible? TTC? Where's the quickest spot to get there, then to ASM? How early do those buses run?

Thanks much in advance, and see you down there (well, for a day, at least!) on Tuesday!!!!

My guess would be to go to the TTC, then catch a bus to ASM.

It may also be possible to take a boat to MK, then a bus to ASM. That might take longer, though...

Not sure what time they start, though.

Sorry I'm not of more assistance. :)

Getting TO ASMusic that early in the morning will be tough as buses are in the mode of getting folks to the parks, not to the resorts. (They don't go in circles.)

However, if you really want to use Disney transport, then be at the bus stop at Outpost between 6:30 and 6:45 am. Then take the first bus to Animal Kingdom that comes along. (They have morning EMH so will open at 8am).

Then once you get to Animal Kingdom, transfer to an All-Stars bus. You may need to go to the "transportation booth" and tell them you need an All-Stars bus as soon as possible. Hopefully you'll get one fairly quickly.

Other than that, the other option is to get on a Blizzard Beach bus, then just walk over to All-Stars. It's about 1.3 miles from BB to the front door of All-Star Music.

No problem...thanks much for trying!

I worry about taking a boat, then waiting for a bus at MK. How early do the boats start? I thought that would be only an hour before it opens, and I think next Wednesday is a MK 9:00 start. I'm thinking I'm going to have to be out of the campground by 7:00 in order to check in and be back for opening by 9:00.

There are no buses from TTC to the resorts.

Also, consider this. You could have as much as 30-45 minutes in line to check in at All-Star Music.

I wasn't really sure. I don't recall us ever going to TTC straight from the Fort. I guess I just assumed that it would be possible from the Outpost. Thanks for setting me straight! :thumbsup2

Sorry, btw...missed this post before.

Thanks for that info...I also was under the impression that I could get from FW to the TTC right away.

I did notice the AK early open that day, and that thought had occurred to me, but I was thinking the TTC route might have been faster. Think I'll take your idea. I'll check with the folks at check-in and get any thoughts they have, too.

Why not save yourself a lot of worry and take a cab?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't see any way that you're going to make it to the MK at 9 am using Disney transportation and doing what you want to do. Even with a cab, it will probably be pushing it. You may want to revamp your timetable a bit.

Thanks for the info guys...poo. We're on a limited budget. How much is a cab from one spot to another?

Never done it but my guess would be 15-20. If you just take it to AS you can catch a bus back to MK. IIRC they can check you in as early as 6AM so you can avoid crowds at that time.

You might want to check with the front desk and ask very nicely about how to get to ASM in the early morning (before buses run) to check in. They may offer you a free ride in a Disney van to the resort. I've gotten a free van ride to Epcot for an early segway tour. You never know till you ask:thumbsup2

I asked once while standing in the rain at Epcot and the cabbie said $25-30 back to the fort
