question on dues statement and dues in general

i just bought a resale in Dec (closed the 17th)....will i get a statement in the mail soon? in my settlement contract it says i paid for 1/2 of 2007 dues and the old owner paid the other half.....so will i pay for dues this January as well? little confused

You should get a dues statement, but it may take awhile as you are a new account.

Dues are based on calendar year, not use year, so basically your agreement with the seller was to pay dues for July 07 to December 07, and you will have 2008 dues payable in January (or whenever you get the billing.)
