Question on Disney Dining Plan

Hi all, quick question on the dining plan.

We are planning to do a splitstay at two DVC resorts. Oct 2-7 (5 nights) at one, Oct 7-12 (5 nights) at another. Planning to add dining plan only to the first resort. We will be renting DVC points.

Question: Do our points expire at midnight on Oct 7? Or would we still be able to use any remaining credits after we check out on the 7th. The reason we ask this is because we will be arriving late on Oct 2 and will probably not be able to use any credits for the first night.

Any insight will be helpful. Thanks!

Dining credits are good until midnight of the day you check out. However---I am not sure how you get them to transfer to the magic band if you check into another resort before you use them. I am sure you can---just don't now how it works.

You will be able to use your dining credits through Midnight on your check out day Oct 7. They will not carry over to the second part of your stay.

Dining plans/credits are linked in MDE. Nothing is actually stored on a magic band so this shouldn't be a concern.
OP - when dining on your check out day, you can always explain to your server about your split stay and which reservation the dining credits are linked to if you have any concerns.
