Question on dining plan & switching resorts

My son and I are going to Disney for 2 nights, we'll be staying @ 2 different resorts for our stay. Friday night we'll be @ CBR and I wanted to get the dining plan. The next day we check out and check into a DVC that we rented through a 3rd party rental place. My question is: will our meals from out Friday night stay with dining still be valid all day Saturday? I think I remember hearing that all of your credits expire at midnight the night you check out. Would that change if I check out and then check into a DVC rental? We're hoping to book dining for our Friday night stay and use the dining credits Saturday while we're in our DVC room. Will it work or does checking into a DVC make your credits go *poof*?

Your credits will still be good through midnight of the second day. Just be sure to hang on to your KTTW card from CBR, as the credits will be attached to that card.
