Question on checking in?

We are arriving in Orlando at 9am. We have booked the ME to take us to the ASMo.

Being that we are arriving early, and would like to go to a park, do we check in first, and let the hotel hold our bags if a room isn't ready that early?

We wanted to go to MGM and see Osbourne Lights and we have 7:45 ADRs that night, so we won't get back to the hotel until late.

Does anyone have any advice, or know if checking in very late will cause a problem?

Check-in as soon as you get to the hotel - whether or not the room is ready is a different issue.

When you check in, they'll give you your "Key to the World Card" (with tickets and dining plan if applicable). If your room is ready, they'll tell you where to find it. If not, they'll give you a little notecard with a phone number on it. When you're out in the parks, you can call that number during the afternoon (after 3pm usually) and you will be told what your room number is so that you don't have to go back to the desk. Your KTTW cards will be programed to open the door.

ME will handle your bags -- the bags don't often make it to the rooms right away anyhow. So, they'll certainly know how to put them aside to be held by bell services until later in the day. I'm not sure if you can call and have your bags delivered at the All Stars or if you have to pick them up - but I'm sure someone else around here will know that.

Have a great trip!

I agree with everything the previous poster said and I just wanted to add our recent experience. We arrived at what we thought would be far to early to get our room, around noon, but went ahead so as to get access to the parks only to find our rooms were ready. Also, don't be concerned with your luggage we had great experience with Disney getting our luggage to us.

I guess my main concern was the luggage. If I leave it and go to the parks without it being in the room...I will probably obsess on it all day!

I was also worried about not having a room when I come back to the hotel at 11pm or later!
