Question on buying two different use years at same resort

Looking for feedback. We own two contracts at Vero with a Feb use year. I want to buy a small 50 point contract, and I'm trying to decide if I should wait to get a Feb use year, or just buying any use year I come across. Can you anybody provide some feedback on owning at the same resort but having different use years.

If you buy multiple contracts via resale with a different UY, you will end up with two different member numbers and two different master contracts. This can make things a little difficult as you can not combine (or pool) points for a reservation for a single night without transferring points from one to the other. Not a huge issue except a member can only have one transfer (either in or out) per UY.

When contracts have the same UY, points can be combined at 11 months (if same home resort) and at 7 months (if not) without any types of transfer--a lot more flexibility for the owner.

you can still book separate nights at 11 months out with different master contracts at the same resort and ask MS to link the reservations.

also, buying another UY month will mean you have 2 banking windows to keep straight. not a big deal but it's more of a hassle than i would care to deal with...

When you have two different UY's, you will end up with 2 member #'s and two master contracts.

The biggest issue with this is that points can not be combined without going through the TRANSFER process. Since you are limited to one per member per UY, it would count for both the contracts.

Right now, your two contracts have the same UY (which puts one as a master and the other as an "add on"., This allows you to combine those points easily when making your reservations. It would be a little more complicated if your new contract was a different UY.

Some have it and say its not a problem. Other's have said it is more trouble then it is worth.
